People ask me why I don’t have a credit card. Especially my friends and some members of my “super-duper” family. They’ve noticed I pay cash or thru debit card.

I know I should get a credit card. At my age, I should be earning “good credit scores” in case of “great need”. I’ll apply for a credit card but maybe after 8 months from now…or a year.

But come to think of it, I’m not really prepared for the responsibility of having one. I’m not a spendthrift for that matter. My problem is impulse buying.

It’s a holiday at this side of the planet. What’s the best thing to do today? Well, my friend and I are going to the office and work overtime. Yes, work overtime. Why?  Aside from the fact that we will receive a double-pay, we just want to be more productive with our time because we usually do nothing special during the holidays.

So I’m going to continue my work with the Penthouse interior design. The image above is the second floor lounge of the 3-floor unit. The furniture pieces are from B&B Italia and Minotti. I have to start designing the ceiling and complete my veneer swatches.

I’ll be meeting with some engineers and designers for the project this month. I’m a little anxious about it but I believe I can pull it together. And I’ve heard I’m scheduled to go to the site any time soon! Wish me luck, guys!

Today’s practice was great. Had a couple of laughs, it was really fun. I got to learn how to read notes and appreciate the music sheets. I should also learn to relax my hands (“and control my adrenaline” as what my teacher said) because at times I fiddle too hard or go to fast.

I should buy a chin rest and a small bridge soon. And, argh, I was just informed that by the end of the month we will do a RECITAL. Flight of the Bumblebee? The pressure is on!

So it’s 30 minutes before my work starts…and I’m still at home! I know I have a busy day ahead. Nah, don’t worry. My work is just a few blocks away from where I live. It’s just that…I still want to chill in my bedroom.

Really exhausted from today’s work, guys. I have finished a photo-rendering job of a condominium building here in Makati. I’ll post the picture of it maybe tomorrow; my files are in still the office. 

Come to think it, the job was simple: just color the building with the selected swatches. But the hard part was the revision. (You see, my Photoshop skill is just decent enough to get the job done and win the approval of our boss.) Miscommunication is another bump in the road. Good thing everything’s done now.

Tomorrow’s another day. Maybe there will be other revisions on other projects. Well… keep those “opportunities” coming!

It has been a busy week for me. I had been assigned to 3 projects already at the architecture firm. I know you guys are really curious about projects. Maybe I can post some pics and SketchUp exports on here. I’m assigned to do a Senator’s house, a condominium at Greenbelt and a penthouse (somewhere in China, I think).

For the Senator’s house, I do it with my team. We’re more focused on the interior design since the architectural part has been finalized. This project here…IT’S REALLY HUGE!!! I don’t know when I can visit the site, hopefully next month.

The project at Greenbelt, I’m doing it with a friend on Saturday (March 31st). We’re gonna measure the unit and, most probably, do the interiors as well.

For the penthouse, I’m doing it (for now) by myself. Just a 3-floor unit. Yes, a 3-floor unit with a pool and sky lounge.

Wow, talk about workaholic eh?

Yes, I’m finally flying to Manila in a few hours. I’m so excited now, can’t sleep actually. If I want to stay in Manila, I should probably get a job (which, in all honesty, I’m really planning to do). 

I’ll be staying in Makati with my relatives and (hopefully) I’ll be able to go to Laguna to check on the project. Wish me luck, guys!
