YEAH WRITE!: Prompt idea by viscountjan

Prompt idea by viscountjan:

Nowadays, people prefer to buy condominium units instead of the usual “house and lot”. Condominiums are usually located near areas where the occupants work or go shopping to.

Write a story or a poem that involves condominium living. If you can focus on the skyscraper’s design, that’s better. How high is the skyscraper?

But the important thing here is how do people interact in a condominium. Do they have a “neighborhood life” or do they feel more safe? How about privacy? Is voyeurism a problem?

On what floor do your characters live? And what’s the view outside their bedroom window?

yeahwriters: Eavesdropping in public places are great for observing and being inspired by dialogue. Starbucks and other coffee shops (support small businesses!) are great because they are places people go specifically to chat, but people won’t be weirded out if you’re sitting a couple feet away, typing away on your laptop.
Sometimes you have to be a creeper to become a better writer, but hey, writer’s are all a little creepy to begin with anyway ;)
Listen to some people talking in a coffee place and write a story based on their conversation. What can you speculate about their lives based on what you’ve heard?

This is my “Ana and Mia” prompt

Prompt idea by viscountjan:

Write a story personifying two eating disorders: anorexia and bulimia. They are known as Ana and Mia, respectively. Write about their obssession of being thin and their twisted idea of real beauty. And, most importantly, write about their victims and how those victims vanquished/conquered these disorders.

Prompt idea by viscountjan:

Get inspiration from this quote by Alexander McQueen:

“I get my ideas out of my dreams…if you’re lucky enough to use something you see in a dream, it is purely original. It’s not in the world it’s in your head. I think that is amazing.”

I just found out that this was published. I’m so happy! And oh! Read some cool stories inspired by this prompt here.
